William J. Filip

Bill directs Baird Venture Partners' activities within the business services sector. Bill’s focus includes outsourced services and information services with a focus on the human resources technology and services sector. Prior to joining Baird Venture Partners in 2000, he was a Vice President in Baird's Investment Banking Group, where he participated in a variety of equity offerings and mergers and acquisitions. In December of 2005, Bill was named by HRO Today magazine as an industry All-Star for his strong investment activity in the human resources industry sector. Bill is a member of the board of directors of Payroll Associates, Pinstripe, SnagAJob.com, Clickfuel and Inside Track and is a prior board member of Austin Logistics and HireRight (NASDAQ: HIRE) and SmartTime Software (Sold to Kronos). He also is a member of the Wisconsin Technology Council. He received a BBA from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with majors in Finance and Strategic Management.

 

Cooper Mills, Partner

Cooper has over 25 years of investment banking experience focused primarily on the Business Services sector.  Prior to joining CHILDS, Cooper led and founded SunTrust Robinson Humphrey’s Business Services Industry Group. Over the past decade, Cooper led this group to becoming the most active equity underwriter in the staffing industry.  He managed the Business and Technology Services Group and has led transactions with companies such as Source Services, MPS Group, EmployBridge and CHG.

 

Cooper’s previous work experience includes three years with Rotan Mosle in Houston, Texas, concentrating in the area of financial institutions, and 10 years with Trust Company Bank in Atlanta as a Manager – National Accounts and as Manager – European Representative Office in London.

 

Cooper received his M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and B.S. from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
